Two Down, Two to Go in the ‘O’

Last night the Kitchener Rangers put an end to Sarnia Sting’s Memorial Cup hopes with a convincing 6-2 victory in Sarnia. With this series win, Kitchener moves onto the Western Conference final and one step closer to winning the conference and allowing an Eastern Conference team into the Memorial Cup. Kitchener now has to wait and see the opponents as the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds and Guelph Storm continue to battle. The Greyhounds hold a 3-1 series lead and have a chance to advance tonight at home. In the Eastern Conference, the Belleville Bulls swept the Barrie Colts and are awaiting the winner of the Niagara IceDogs / Oshawa Generals series. Oshawa holds also holds a 3-1 series lead and have a chance to advance tomorrow night at home.
