Gait's Record Falls

Athan Iannucci of the Philadelphia Wings wasted little time in breaking Gary Gait's single season goals record this weekend as he netted six goals Friday night in Philly's 13-10 win over Portland and then tied and surpassed the record Saturday in Minnesota with 3 more. The nine goals gives Athan 63 goals this season so far and he still has two more games to play. At a scoring rate of 4.85 goals per game, he is on pace to score 72 goals this season. In addition to the nine goals Iannucci scored this weekend, he assisted on five others to give him 90 points and the league lead (four points ahead of John Grant Jr).
