In day two of the quarterfinals of the OHL playoffs, Oshawa found their scoring touch and pounded Niagara 6-1. Brett Parnham led the charge with two goals while Brett MacLean opened the scoring in the first with his only goal of the game and Dale Mitchell scored the eventual game winner late in the first for his lone goal of the game. John Tavares and Patrick Asselin rounded out the scoring for Oshawa. The single goal for Niagara came off the stick of Alex Pietrangelo in the third.
In the other two games, Belleville opened the scoring 12:56 into the first period and never trailed in their 5-1 win over Barrie. That win gave the Bulls a 2-0 series lead. In the Soo, Drew Doughty scored the game tying goal in the third period before Guelph went on to score three more times to open the series with a 4-1 win.
